General

What does it cost?

Everything to fuel your experience (i.e. food, drink, equipment, etc.) is included.

Where is it?

This season the event will be held at the Black Fork of the Mohican River.

Estimated drive time:

The address will be sent to those officially registered at a later date.

When is it?

Halloween Weekend, starting Saturday morning.

How long is it?

Two days, two nights.

We based it from last Season's responses.

What if I want (or need) to stay over?

Yup, that's the idea. The accommodation is included.

What is provided?

Accomodation, food, drinks, vintage gaming equipment, and non-gaming activities.

What do I bring?

Who is hosting this?

You know who it is.

How do I get in contact with the host?

The usual channels: host at lanparty dot rsvp, Discord and Google.

What if my significant other, kid(s) or a guest want to come?

While we understand a lot of folks have families we're not (currently) able to support "guests", people who are not a registered gamer/participant of the event.

How do invites work?

This is a by invite-only kinda thing, however reach out if you want to add someone to the group.

The Tournament

What games are we playing?

Halo 2.

There's a rumor that Halo CE and Halo 3 are involved too.

How many original Xboxes and controllers are there?

There will be at least 4 original Xboxes and more than 16 controllers (Duke and S-Type). We've worked on a few of the stick drift issues from last Season too :-)

How many displays are there?

There will be at least 4 identical LED projector displays. You can expect your gaming display size, when split 4-ways, to be between 32" and 40".

How does the tournament work?

We're reworking it. Coming soon...

Does the winner of the tournament get a prize?

TBD but they shall.

What is it?

In addition to the tournament, Evan has graciously offered to bring some of his favorite retro/vintage consoles and games! He's also lugging along two 27" Trinitrons for that authentic Cathode Ray Tube experience!!

Analog Activities

What is it?

Sometimes you need a break from the screen or maybe you just want to hangout.

We plan to have a space available for board games and puzzles.

An occasional stretch is a good idea too. Host your own rematch IRL with a game of corn hole.

Data Privacy

Why do you need my email?

The email requirement on the form is a crude validation to prevent bots and it also enables us to provide you with updates.

What do you do with the information I provide?

We may use your email address at some point to reach back out to you with information about the event. The form responses help to shape the event and level set your expectations.

Is my information secure?

Yes, you'll partially have to take our word on it but it's secured by TLS in transit and encrypted at rest. Only the event admin has access to your form response. The related form response data displayed on the site has been stripped of any PII and is as it is displayed, both on-screen and in transit.

What if I have a privacy concern or request for removal?

Reach out to us! We take any data or privacy concerns very seriously and will do our best to mitigate any concern brought to our attention.
